Hello! I first started climbing back in 2009 when I got introduced to the sport by a bunch of friends in Malaysia. I hope that this blog will focus on climbing techniques, the different styles of climbing, important tips, training advice, gear and also a little about setting. I really enjoy bouldering and setting boulder problems. I currently set regularly at The Strength Lab in Lawrence, KS.

Greetings! I'm not a really good climber or anything like that. I started climbing probably less than a year ago (2013) and I thought that this blog would really benefit from a beginner's point of view as well! I want to share my experiences, my thoughts as I went through the phases of coming to know the sport, learning the basics, getting just a little stronger day by day and just coming to really like the sport. I want to also tell you about the struggles and frustration that I went through. I'm not a particularly athletic person so this is probably the first sport that I've really been able to stick with and enjoy. I don't have amazing upper body strength and every day is a new challenge for me. I might not know a whole lot about the sport but I really enjoy it and I want to let other new beginners out there understand that there is someone who is facing all the frustration and confusion that they are facing. We all need some support and encouragement in the beginning and I hope that by sharing my experience, I can provide the little boost of morale and confidence that so many of us beginners need!
